Care for a changing body

Support for comfort, mobility, and everyday movement during pregnancy.

Pregnancy changes posture, joint loading, balance, and the way muscles support the back and pelvis. These changes can contribute to back, hip, pelvic, or sacroiliac discomfort.

Prenatal chiropractic care focuses on musculoskeletal assessment and pregnancy-adapted techniques. The Webster Technique is a specific sacral and pelvic analysis with an associated adjustment. It is not a procedure for turning a baby or treating fetal position.

Dr. Shane & Dr. Sierra are some of the best chiropractors I have been too. They take time to listen about my aches and try to get to the root cause of those aches. They care about your full body wellness and nutrition. I love that they are always up to date on the latest methods and technology when considering my health. I would definitely recommend them both! Prenatal chiropractic FAQs

Answers before you call.

These general answers do not replace advice from your obstetric or medical provider. Call your prenatal provider promptly for severe, new, or concerning symptoms.

The Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic assessment of the sacrum and pelvis with an associated adjustment. Its purpose is to address sacral or sacroiliac joint dysfunction and pelvic biomechanics. It is not a fetal-turning procedure and should not be presented as a treatment for breech position.

Reports of serious adverse events are rare, but rigorous pregnancy-specific research is limited. A careful history, pregnancy-adapted positioning, informed discussion, and coordination with your prenatal provider are important. Discuss the potential risks and benefits with your health care team.

It may be considered for selected musculoskeletal concerns such as back, hip, pelvic, or sacroiliac discomfort, stiffness, and mobility limitations. It does not diagnose or treat pregnancy complications.

Keeping your obstetric or prenatal provider informed is encouraged. The chiropractor may request medical clearance or coordinate with your provider when symptoms, health history, pregnancy complications, or restrictions make that appropriate.

Care may use side-lying, seated, supported, or other modified positions, along with pillows or pregnancy supports. Positioning and technique should be adjusted for your trimester, comfort, examination findings, and prenatal guidance.

Contact your obstetric or medical provider for severe or persistent pain, fever, burning with urination, vaginal bleeding, fluid leakage, regular painful contractions, dizziness, chest pain, shortness of breath, or any symptom you believe may be urgent. Emergency symptoms require immediate medical care.
